Powered by a AA battery and using conductive dough and insulating dough, can you make an LED light light up? Can you make a motor move? Can you make a buzzer sound?
Planning Guide: squishy-circuits
Conductive Dough
1 cup water
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
3 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
drops of food colouring
Combine all ingredients into pot and mix over medium heat. Stir continuously as the mixture boils and thickens and keep stirring until it forms a ball in the pot’s centre. Let it cool slightly and knead it on a floured surface until it is nice and smooth.
Insulating Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
up to 1/2 cup of distilled water
Combine flour sugar and oil in a bowl. Add water in tiny increments (about a tablespoon at a time) until the dough forms a cohesive lump. Knead in a little more flour until it’s easy to hold with your hands.
